Bills are rarely unexpected. Most are predictable. Those few that are genuinely unexpected should be funded by your emergency find, which should be put aside as a priority to your holidays.

How much have you actually got saved? Six months of savings would clear your debt.

Unexpected bills including Car problems so having to go to the garage and needing a new fridge/freezer due to the original breaking.
  • How much do you have in savings and at what interest rate? How much will the APR be on your debt once the 0% finishes?

  • If white goods break consider getting 2nd hand ones? When I moved into my house and was broke I bought all my white goods 2nd hand. I bought a dishwasher for £40. It lasted 4 years before giving up the ghost so cost me £10 a year.

They are not unexpected. fridge-freezers do not last for ever, they fail. The fact that you cannot predict when does not make it an unexpected event. It is a predictable event and the very thing that an emergency fund is there to cover. Similar applies for your car.

In terms of what you need to do:

    1. Trasnfer the card to another 0% card if your credit score allows.
    2. Start paying off at least 200% more than then minimum payment is asking for
    3. Set yourself a 6 monthly reduction goal.

That is how I paid off mine.
Things are far easier than you think.

If your SOA is correct, then you have a surplus of £670 a month. Which means that you could clear your CC debt entirely in less than 4 months if you cut your non-essential spending to zero.
