Hi everyone
I was wondering if anyone could advise me on how much to offer a debt collecting agency as a full and final payment off an outstanding debt.
The amount owed is currently £250.
Thanks in advance x

I had a 50% offer accepted on a F+F a couple of years ago and also a 40%. Bothe were low amounts. The 40% was Lowell - I would have done things differently with them but I didn't know about how DCA's worked back then (buying old accounts for pennies)
What stage are they at? If you have a CCJ, it won't affect the status unless it is all paid off. I eventually paid the 50% one off in full as I (wrongly) thought that a F+F would mean the CCJ was changed to satisfied.

Hiya
Thanks for the replies.
It hasn't gone to a CCJ and the DCA is Lowell.
I wonder if I should be cheeky and offer 40% lol
Its not even mine, its my Dad's who is very ill and unable to pay. I contacted them on his behalf, set up a direct debit and I've been paying it since.
I want it paid off ASAP.0
