Tsb not releasing funds in time to complete

We were on a fixed rate mortgage with Skipton building society & early repayment charges ended on 31st August., so moved to the standard variable rate. We found a new deal with Tsb & were ment to be switching today but our solicitor has told us that unfortunately Tsb haven't released the funds in time for it to happen today.
I''m slightly annoyed as everything has been in place since the start of August. & have checked with solicitor numerous times that everything is in place to happen today we are now on the higher standard variable rate for an additional day, at no fault of our own. Can we complain to Tsb?

Unlikely they have ever promised completion would occur on a particular date. Is there any particular reason for the delay? Is it now scheduled to complete tomorrow? One day's difference in interest is hardly likely to be worth complaining about.0

It could also be that the solicitor requested the funds a day later than the TSB requirements.
As it’s a remortgage, did it come with free legals? These conveyor belt law firms aren’t generally known for being on top of things all the time.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Yeah free legal. Apparently solicitor been chasing Tsb all day for monies.
It is requested again for tomorrow, solicitors have said money may be received overnight.0
