What's your quick-fix zit routine?

Ok, it's party season, and I've got a week before I have to bare flesh at the company do. Naturally, I've broken out

What does everyone use to make spots go away faster? I've been dabbing mine with Garnier pure anti-blemish pen, but I need fast results! I know they haven't got a hope of healing until the 'infection' has cleared.. what do you use?

Is freederm worth a shot? I'll try anything! (Almost ;))

I use a sterilised needle to gently break the skin then squeeze the spot out. Then I use a cream called Eskamel, which is for acne, and dab a tiny bit onto the spot, next morning it's gone!

I've done this since I first tried it when I was about 14, I'm now 43, I've only just bought my second tube of Eskamel as I noticed that the old one had a sell by date of about 1982!!

Seems to work well on spots (amongst other things) whether you're 17 or 47

TCP or Dettol, undiluted directly on the spot overnight, avoiding the skin around it. Stings like nobody's business, but dries them out pretty quickly. If you're going to conceal them through the day, just put the concealer around the spot to cover the redness - it's less obvious than putting it over the whole thing.
  • I use Antiseptic Cream, Dettol or Savlon.
Put a little on and rub gently in. Soothes and heals. Apply little and often.
I find it gets rid of the redness as well as the spot. Its only £1.25 for a small tube, lasts for ages.

Either neat tea tree oil put on with a cotton bud or neat surgical spirit applied the same way. My sister swears by Mario Badescu drying lotion. Angel, I am also guilty of being a long term 'pimple lancer', sterilised needle and then tea tree oil. Mine aren't always invisible the next day but its much easier to conceal a flat area with a pinhead sized scab on than a rather red, raised area that is slightly dried out
