Credit checking following Halifax's acknowledgement of title

Hi, wondered if anyone knew the answer to this...

It's been under 90 days since we received our mortgage offer and the flat we've been in the process of buying has now exchanged - waiting on completion to take place on Wednesday.

In terms of affordability we were (in the DIP) offered about 200k more than we wanted to take out, so I think that's fine. Credit cards are down to about £100 (was only about £500 when we started the application). There was a vaguely worded condition in the offer that we pay off some of the credit because we advised that's what we would do - something along the lines of £59.

The broker contacted Halifax on Friday and they confirmed that funds are to be released on Tuesday - one day prior. They've confirmed receipt of the certificate of title.

Anyone know if another financial assessment is likely to take place in the next couple of days? Just want everything to go smoothly!

Thanks in advance

We completed on our first house purchase a couple of weeks ago with Halifax and they didn't do any other credit checks after initial application.

I was one of the stupid ones that did take out a small amount of credit between offer and completion and although everything turned out fine the stress and anxiety was not worth it at all.

Good luck with completion tomorrow! :)
