Would this work as a recipe?

I'm on a mission to use up foodstocks and reduce storage space, and I have 40 uncooked cocktail sausages defrosting. I'm thinking of mixing them with chopped leeks and doing a sausage leek toad in the hole. Would this work? Should I grill the sausages and fry off the leeks first?

I don't see why it wouldn't work, not sure about putting the leeks in with the toad though. I usually just do sausages and batter.
You could serve the leeks separate, like fried onions.
If you have sausages left, you could do a sausage casserole, cook it and freeze it for another meal.
I did think this question was going to involve live mice...Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no: 203.0 -
I put onions into my toad in the hole so leeks will probably be OK.
Thanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!

Dormouse was a popular Roman recipe, I gather. Actually we have a tub of frozen mice in the freezer for the snakes, but I can't see myself using them ... times aren't quite that hard yet.
You didn't mention the snakes on your mouse thread......obviously, the snakes have been hypnotising the cats the bring them food......just like Ka in Jungle Book.....Trrrruuuuuuusssssttttt in meeeeeee...sing along now everyone. :rotfl:Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no: 203.0 -
