Do you reckon we will get much help against such a big company?

Potentially any trouble makers will just get their jobs made harder. Always been the case

That's why a union - to give you the help of a big organisation against your big company and so you aren't the easily replaceable Mechanic123 being a nuisance, but the much less easily replaceable group of most of their mechanics together.

You need a job, but they need employees.

Had the whole of their cash in his care.

Neither did Ryanair until they were faced with a strike. But there’s a lot more to unions than strikes like free employment law advice, H&S training etc

  • It's not that easy for an employer to fail to recognise a union. Have a look at https://www.bdbpitmans.com/insights/when-does-an-employer-have-to-recognise-a-trade-union/ and do a bit more googling....
