Can Cadbury Drinking Chocolate tins be recycled?

This might seem a silly question but can they? They have the recycling sign on them but are they more cardboard or more metal..?! Seems a shame to throw them in the general waste bin!

This is a question for your local council as different councils have different facilities for recycling. Just because an item can theoretically be recycled doesn't mean your council have the kit to do it, and I beleive that these kinds of mixed material items can be particularly challenging. My own council (North Kesteven) responded very quickly when I asked about a similar item - hopefully your council is as good as customer service as they are :)
