Hi all, out of these two options does either strike you as 'better' in any way? Interested to canvas opinion and see if there's anything I've missed.
Barclays 1.93% Five Year Fixed (62 months)
Set up fees £1,034 (Product Fee £999 Other Fees £35
Monthly payment £807 for 62 months then £1,028 for 23 years 10 months
MSE Total Cost £9,880 for year 1
Total payable £345,013 3.5% APRC
Halifax 1.96% Five Year Fixed (64 months)
Set up fees £1,199 (Produce Fee £999 Valuation Fee £200)
Monthly payment £810 for 64 months then £1,027 for 23 years 10 months
MSE Total Cost £9,940 for year 1
Total payable £344,628 3.5% APRC

If you qualify for both, barclays are a better lender for existing customer rates.
Halifax application process is infinitely easier though.
If you had enough time before you need to complete , I wouod go with barclays.
Expect either a bit of fun with their systems or the simplest process ever. You can never tell which one you are going to get0 -
Have you considered a longer fix? for a little more each month you could fix for 10/15 years and have long term piece of mind.0
