Today is the day I have to start to make changes to become debt free.
Let me explain. I am due back in work on Tuesday after a lovely week off with Mr PU, I feel sick at the thought of going back. I have a good job which i have done for the last 14 years, its very demanding and there are day where it leaves me physically and emotionally drained. I am 50 years old and work from home in the buisness i am currantly setting up, to acheive this, I have about £18,000 pounds of debt to repay. Want to repay this by my 53rd birthday and work for myself hours to suit and no stress.
So to acheive my dream, I need to knuckle down and get to where I want to be. I have spent the afternoon drawing up visual aids to help me track my spending. Planning to start using these in September, new month, fresh start.
Feeling very over whelmed at the moment, off to make a cup of tea and will be back later with a list of money owed.

Last day before I go back to work has been lovely, walk along the beach early this morning with Mr PU before it got busy, free parking and we took our own drinks. Afternoon has been spent visiting the grandchildren as they have been away camping over the weekend.
Lunch has been made for work tomorrow, need to go back and following SW, got to my target weight a few weeks ago and back habits have started to creep back in.
Need to log into my accounts to get a full picture of money owed, plane to do this over the next few days.
So plan for the rest of the week is:
Not to spend any money apart from tomorrow when I need to get fuel for my car.
Take lunch to work every day.
Stick to the evening meal planner.
Do one small de-cluttering job each evening.
Work out budget in readiness for Friday. which is pay day.
Off to sit in the lovely afternoon sunshine and reading my book I got from my DSD when we visited.Next - £2229.44 - 29/09/20190 -
Hello September
Today has been a NSD, we have been doing a few odd jobs around the house and garden. I need to make a list of things that need doing so I can tackle one or two each evening. Did well last week with the five minute jobs and sorted out a few of the kitchen drawers.
I have planned all meal for next week, didn't need much yesterday when I did our weekly shop. Trying to use up the contents of the freezer before we go on holidays in a fortnight.
Worked out my outstanding debt:
Loan - £2895.00
Halifax - £6077.00
Barclaycard - £3347.00
Next - £ 2200.00
Argos - £1910.00
Total - £16429.00
Better that the £18000 I though it was.
The loan has 21 months left and both of the CC are % until end of next year. Going to concentrat on Argos and try and clear this by the end of the year. Also looking to start an emergancy fund I have a Credit Union account need to find the book and check how much if anything is in there.
Day off tomorrow as I am looking after the granchildren as they do not go back to school until Tuesday.Next - £2229.44 - 29/09/20190 -

Hi twiggy86
I find pen and paper works best for me, find speadsheets to confusing. I have a file with 12 dividers and i have made different sheets. I have a calander so I can keep tecak of DD going out and any papments i make, a spending sheet, a monthly budget sheet and a NSD calander. All very simple, hopefully will work well for me.Next - £2229.44 - 29/09/20190 -
