Or this time last year was there lots of reporting happening about banks having to make their transfers between accounts instant rather than the usual '3' days, from November this year.
I'm sure i'm not going mad, and it was just about the time that First Direct (i think) decided to charge it's customers for their bank account if they didn't pay in enough each month.
Does any one else remember this? do we know when it comes into force, i just can't find out anything about it.
Sorry if this question is in the wrong place, it's just if this is the case i can try for a different current account with 0% overdraft and know that my transfer to my bills account will get there in time.

Would be interested to know this too, transfers between my accounts at different banks always seem to take ages!

Hello lemon tree,saw a feature on working lunch about it from what i can gather and remember was going to Happen this year but its been put off until next year

I work in a bank, I was under the impression it was due to happen around now but haven't heard anything yet (haven't hard anything to the contrary though either) - will let you know if I find anything out.0
