Roth contribution w/d affected by market?

I am planning on withdrawing from my Roth IRA contributions and am not clear on how the market does or does not affect the timing of my withdrawal--can anyone advise me on this? As in, does it make any difference if I withdraw when the market is low vs high?

It depends what investments you have in your ROTH IRA. If it's in a money market fund then the ups and downs of the stock market won't be very relevant, if it's an equity fund then the value will go up and down with the equity markets.
If you are a US resident I'd ask your question on one of the many US forums. If you are a UK resident then you should understand how your US ROTH is taxed...FYI it's good news as growth and withdrawals are tax free in the US and UK.“So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past.”0
