Whats your opinion of us getting a mortgage?

Hello and good morning,
We are looking at a new build and have had a quick telephone call with a financial adviser and everything seems to be fine at first glance.
The only thing that we forgot to mention is that we are looking to buy as one of us is moving jobs.
We didn't think it was a huge issue as the job is a bit of a pay rise. However after speaking with friends and a little bit of googling. This seems to be a bit of an issue.
I've been in my job for 10 years plus. But my partner is due to start her new job in 2 weeks. (Currently unemployed as she wanted a 2 week break between the jobs).
We are looking to borrow towards the upper end of our affordability (222k) on salaries of 34k and 18k
We will be sitting down with the adviser in 2 / 3 weeks, whereby my partner will have just started her new job. Is this a deal breaker?

Great things are done by a series of small things brought together.
If you cannot do great things, do small things in a great way.
The greatest good you can do for another is not just to share your riches but to reveal to him his own.

What stage is the new build?
are you using H2B?
how big is your deposit?
It could be a few month in work before you need to complete.0
