Is it possible to reclaim late repayment loan charges?
Hi, does anyone know if it is possible to claim back these charges. My dad has a loan with Britannia and although it is up-to-date now, last year he missed a few payment - resulting in letters and charges costing hundreds, is there anyway of claiming these back, and if so, how?

Hi and welcome.
Yes, these charges are just as unlawful. Just follow the templates on this board amending to loan reference rather than bank account. The procedure is just the same.
Good luck

Yes you can do. If you already know how much they have charged then just write and ask. Make sure you take control, and write to them in the same tone they write to you. Ensure that you set a deadline for a refund. Tell them that if you do not get a refund then you will commence action in through the court. Then give them a final demand. Then commence legal action. You must follow through. If they think that your threats are empty they will blag you off, ignore you or delay in responding. When you set the agenda, you must adhere. For the record I have had significant refunds from Co-op, Barclaycard and Capital One.Don't lie, thieve, cheat or steal. The Government do not like the competition.
