Today I pestered the Halifax over my PPI reclaim and spoke to a very civil person in their Chief Exec's Office. He said, "Has my colleague offered you a refund yet?" (Erm no, but if that's the line they want to do, suits me to the tune of £2K!), and chased up my nasty former employers who were meant to have refunded £1000 to me within 3 months of me leaving there. It's now been 8 weeks and I just want my money, in fact, a response to some of my emails to them would be even better!
So, spent £150 more than I can really afford on Xmas and birthday presents, but could have moved to a step closer towards getting £3,000 in time for Xmas.Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!0 -
I phoned the Halifax to see if I was eligible to claim back a mortgage exit fee. I am due £40 woo hoo!! Will write a letter to Northern Rock tomorrow.0

I bought two wraps for 75p when they should have been £2.35 eachDemocracy is the theory that the common people know what they want, and deserve to get it good and hard.0

Managed to get one of my credit cards from 24.9% down to 17.9%. Have switched my home phone to my isp at £15 a month this includes ALL calls and line rental which is £10.50 with bt anyhoo. This should in theory save me about £15. Got myself logged with pigsback and quidco. Got myself a fuel saver card with morrisons garage, gives me money off shopping there. Whats next me thinks!:jTotal debt at start (nov 07) = [strike]£8907[/strike] £8684
HSBC CC = [strike]£781[/strike] £761@ 15.9%
MBNA CC = [strike]£2434[/strike] £2359@ 17.9% (was 24.9!!!!)
Barclaycard CC = [strike]£5692[/strike] £5564@ 6.9% LOB
A way to go..
[strike]150[/strike] [strike]250[/strike] 350 piggy points, more to followProud to be dealing with my debts.Long haulers No.62:cool:0 -

Also, confession time.. I re-bought the handbag I bought wih my birthday money... given all of the above I can take one of them back with my original receipt and have £12 cash back:T
