BR and effect on spouse

Options
Please could someone advise me. When filling in my bankruptcy forms will my husbands financial situation be taken in to account?

We don’t own a property but he does have savings.

Does the form ask for his income and if so is it just in order to establish that I am paying half towards household expenses?

Thank you in advance.

His assets are his, and the OR has no claim on them. You are asked for your husband’s income and, if you declare it, your contribution will be assessed based on your earnings relative to his. So if, for example, you earn 30% of the total household income then you will be allocated 30% of the share of the bills. If you earn more than him then you’re better off not declaring his income as you’ll then be allocated a 50% share of the bills.
