Erroneous new 'TSB' account on Clearscore

I thought I'd post about this because it's caused me some amount of stress given that I'm currently applying for a mortgage with adverse credit.

This morning, I had a notification from Clearscore indicating that a new current account from TSB will be added to my September report. This was alarming as I haven't applied or approached TSB for any products. I contacted TSB in branch and again by phone and they confirmed I had no products (or recent applications for that matter) on file.

I also rang my credit broker who confirmed there was no application done with TSB. When I called TSB they said they'd had multiple reports of this nature today and that they are looking into it but don't have much clue what's going on.

To top things off, we logged into my wife's clearscore which has next to nothing, to also find this mysterious new TSB account with a different account number.

Does anyone else have a similar experience?

I have never heard of anything like this ever happening before! In my opinion It has got to be an error of the bank or clearscore so next step would be to write up to the credit reference agency and have it removed!
