Quick question:
A couple I know are divorcing. One wants their name taken off mortgage but not 'sell' their half immediately so that the other can keep the home for a while, so no change to title deeds.
I would expect the lender to say no but, being no expert, thought I'd ask on here if it is possible to alter a mortgage agreement that way?
For the benefit of fellow cynics, it really is not about me

If they want to remain an owner they will have to remain a party to the mortgage otherwise the mortgage co could not force a sale if the mortgage is unpaidQuick question:
