SCS - negotiate discount

We are looking to order a suite from SCS which they claim is reduced by 50% although in truth their price is nearer the true value of similar suites in DFS etc.
Has any one experience of negotiating a further discount particularly in view of the plethora a bank holiday deals now on at furniture shops.
If yes how & what reduction did you get ?
