                    Hi folks,
I'm returning to the MSE forums after a hiatus, which has involved me racking up more debts and sinking into a funk.
In 2016 I had my DD, and my world turned upside down. Some for the better and some for the worse. Looking back I'm not sure if I had undiagnosed PND, or whether I just couldn't adjust to such a big change in my life, but things spiralled out of control. I was miserable, lonely and tearful most of the time. I stopped watching our budget, spending went out of control and recently a string of things going wrong with the car and the house have seen me constantly at the end of my overdraft and 2 CC's almost maxed out, and no savings.
I had my LBM a week or two ago, when I realised I can't go on acting like this, spending like I have unlimited disposable income and no debts. The reality is, if I don't act now and turn this around then we will be in hot water.
So. Where to start tackling this mess and how to get back in control? I've drastically cut back spending since my LBM, and have only bought absolute essentials. I've chucked some stuff on ebay and FB selling sites. My first goal is to get out of my overdraft before payday on Friday, so that I can have a clean slate moving forward.
Then I'll do an SOA and draw up a budget for September. I've got a few spends I already know about, with SIL's birthday, and we give our niece money to buy her a present too as her dad is useless. Then I have my parents visiting for the first 2 weeks of September. I've already told mum we are skint though, so they understand I can't doing anything too expensive with them.
I'm working BH Monday (double time woo!) for some extra money and have worked overtime last couple of weeks, so hopefully I have a decent paypack.
Also need to go and look at the CC statements and the HP we have so that I can work out what the debt stands at.
Sorry for the long rambly post x

            O/D currently stands at -£154.28
However have just transferred £68 from PayPal just now from an ebay sale and a FB sale.
So the O/D now stands at -£86.28.:o
Still it's moving in the right direction! Must keep plugging away...
ETA: Just remembered I returned a parcel to Amazon today. It was a book I pre-ordered pre-LBM, but I don't need it and I certainly can't afford it. So that will be £13 refund once Amazon has processed it, which would put the OD at -£73.280
