Employment Gap, Need Help!

I don't know but in my experience, employers hate hearing or seeing line of "job not financially viable" I got far more positive outcomes when I used to brag on about how much I enjoyed the commradeship in an insurance call centre job that paid minimum wage, I can put employers off very easily when I use the other para of it not financially viable and tell them that three thirds of the journey I was responsible for driving and the last leg a park & ride into the city centre, always detracting from the £7.93 p/h at the time.
Fortunately someone (not a regular from here) did look over my CV and told me not to ever think about hiding jobs or lying about the not so distant past.0 -

I understand but I was trying to "work for myself" it's not like someone hired me so the job not being financially viable is basically my own fault.
I've already been accepted for the job, just this part of the vetting is always giving me trouble that's why I was saying in future I should just lie and get it over and done with. I'd be working by now.0 -
You were young. It wouldn't put me off, as an employer, if you said you'd tried to set up a self-employed business on Ebay, were partially supported by your parents, and eventually gave it up as a realistic full time venture. You can doubtless explain the business drawbacks to them, and it shows entrepreneurship and get up and go! You could print off some stuff from Ebay and say that you can provide this as supporting documentation if needed, but I think it would be a bit nosy of them to ask, actually!Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0

Well the problem is it's happened before, one company asked me for bank statements from the time period and I showed them even then it wasn't good enough for them. They kept coming up with stuff like "we don't know if it was actually you operating" and that I didn't have money to support myself even though I was living with parents and still earning however little it may be.0 -
I’m not even going to bother reading most of the replies.
You need to contact a chartered accountant, get your tax returns done for those years and show the new employer a letter from the accountant saying you were self employed.0
