Pension fraud
Maidenhead
Hello I wonder whether anyone might be able to offer me some advise. About 5-6 years ago I transferred my pension to a different fund and then about a year later I was contacted and told this was a scam and that the company had gone into administration and all the money from my fund was gone. I had been paying a modest amount into this for about 30 years and It was last valued at £67,0000 !
The administrators have been trying to seek compensation from the relevant government body on behalf of the fund members as the "financial advisor" in question was taken to court by the police and found guilty but this does not seem to be going anywhere. Needless to say I am devastated that this much needed nest egg has disappeared , the culprit has been found guilty and I apparently have no recourse.

Was the company which has gone into administration FCA authorised?0

There is no Government body. There is the FSCS which some mistakenly refer to as Govt.I apparently have no recourse.
Why not?
Why has the FSCS not considered your case?0 -
Please could you give the name of the company/adviser - if they've been found guilty by a court there is presumably no issue of confidentiality?Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!0

As Marcon says above, what was the plan transferred into and the ongoing investment? Most of these cases are public and will probably be recognisable!0
