Can anyone tell me how to work out the percentage of tax and national insurance from my wages? Need to rebudget due t loss of overtime and want to see what my basic salary will look like with just shift premium minus tax and insurance.

It depends upon your income and circumstances but if you are paying 'standard rate ' tax and will continue to do so then as an approximation :
for each 100 (gross) less you earn your tax will will reduce by £22
and your NI will reduce by £11.0
