I've found that if you wait about half an hour it will give you one within a half dozen or so pages regardless of how many you have clicked through in the meantime.

sitting at work i leave the list open and can get a hummingbird every half hour- 45mins depending on how hard i am pretending to do work.
95% of them are pde's tho.
