I would accept it, and find a way to pay it.

There is no point in going to court as you will get the points and the fine as a minimum anyway.

You arent going to lose your licence and it sounds like you have an awful lot more happening in your life that you need to focus on.

They will get a fine in court not necessarily the same as a ticket.

Two weeks ago I saw a statutory declaration over turn a fail to name driver. The defendant was then fined £40 for excess speed.
  • So do I go to court then?

Which means that I only have to pay for one? I'm scared and confused

Your worst case scenario is 6 points and £200 fine.

Your best case is probably 3 points, a £100 fine and a £90 speeding awareness course.

So you need to find / budget for £200 worst case.

There is no need to be scared or confused about that.

Not without legal advice and you can't afford that.

Going to court with any hope of defending it would involve a solicitor = further cost to the O/P with only a slim chance of changing the outcome?

I would also suggest you look at your security arrangements for when you are not with your children, to ensure your ex cannot 'take' the children.

    Do not go to court
    Do admit to driving
Do fill in the forms and send them back
Wait for paperwork to arrive in post.

Until he's legally prevented from doing so he can't be stopped. But that's not the issue here.

Is the 68, in a 60 zone just within the limit assuming it’s 10% +2 mph ?, so it could be an awareness course, or am I missing something...?

    No

and as you now know your argument about your situation is not a defence ,in fact its more reason to drive within the limit as your head was clearly not on your driving.

as has been said admit it and you may get a driving course for one of the offences, saving £10 and 3 points.
