Remortgage employment check

Hi guys
I’m 3/4 of the way through a name change (removal of ex gf) and also a transfer of equity on my help to buy (name removal). My expected completion date is the second or third week in September, unfortunately I’ll be getting made redundant on the 31st of August. I have another job to go to but that will be the end of September.
What checks will Santander do in the final stage of my application that could creat problems? Employment checks or credit scoring? How likely are they to do it on a Remortgage.
Regards
Dave

You may be ok, so long as you have a new contract to go to
Santander often use AIV - this is an excerpt from their lending criteria
Automated Income Verification (AIV)
AIV is a method we use to verify an applicant's stated income by comparing Current Account Turnover sourced from Credit Reference Agencies. Where we use AIV, we confirm this at the full mortgage application decision stageI am a Mortgage Adviser

If you've already got your offer they wont do any extra employment checks.
They leave that up to the legal wording that you should inform them of any changes.
Santander can underwrite on a future start date contract so if you told them then it will most likely re-offer straight away0
