Preferential payments

Just got to this question on application and was wondering..... My dad let me use her credit card to pay for shopping the other month and the following month i paid it off. Does that count? Do i have to declare that? I also pay a £1 to a company each month as they have logged a ccj against me and threatned me with bailiffs so i pay £1 to them to keep them quiet but not anyone else... Does this count? Is this all going against me???

  • In my opinion, I think because of the low amounts the OR wouldn't be interested and your dads credit card use was for daily living and clearly shows your financial struggle. My mum does alot of my shopping for me and I just transfer her the money back. If they ask I will just be honest. I think with preferential payments they are looking for larger amounts.

Don't worry too much just be as honest as you can :-)

Not a preferential payment, don’t worry.
