Incentives on new build

We are purchasing a new build with DWH and have reserved with incentives on a free kitchen. They want to add this detail to the transfer document but our lawyer is fighting this tooth and nail as she doesn't think it should be on there.
Also, for other reasons that I won't go into, they have had to reduce the value of the property by £10k (at our request). All ok here.
We are now in the process of negotiating compensation for the boring aforementioned reason and are nearly there, but rather than deduct it from the extras as we asked, they want to "contribute to our deposit".
Is there a sneaky reason why they are doing this on both the kitchen and compensation point? Will it harm our mortgage which is supported by HTB? Also, in case it's relevant, we are using inheritance money as some of the deposit (in case you have to use some of your "own" money for the deposit? Should we, or can we, push for the money against the extras? What are they trying to pull, if anything here? Thanks

It is so they can register the higher price at the land registry.
We had the same with them a few months ago. Wasn't a problem in our case.0
