I brought a single plate induction hob from a charity shop just to use for camping.
As first I was pleased with my bargain :money:but then realised I don't own any pans that will work with it!
Any suggestions where to get cheap suitable pans from? I don't want to spend much as they will only be used a couple of times a year.
Thanks

Hi. I keep a wee fridge magnet in my bag to test on any pot/pan in the CS or car boot. If the magnet sticks, it'll work on your hob.
Worth checking out all your existing pans as you may be pleasantly surprised how many will work.Father Ted: Now concentrate this time, Dougal. These
(he points to some plastic cows on the table) are very small; those (pointing at some cows out of the window) are far away...:D:D

And if you don't have any that work, then Ikea are about as cheap as you will get. Im still using my cheap ones from Ikea, 11 years later and they still look as good as new0

Quite often Aldi & Lidl have pans which are suitable for induction hobs. I've found them to be really good, particularly the frying pans from Lidl.0

I tried every single pan and frying panIt took about 15 minutes of swearing that the thing didn't work until I realised it must be the pans :rotfl:
Great tip about the magnet. Unfortunately I don't have time to hunt the charity shops but I will check all the cheaper lines in the shops using one.0
