Multiple Defaults

Hi
I wonder if anyone else has been in this situation and if you can help :-)
I currently have 5 defaults showing on my Equifax report (bad decisions made years ago:-(! All satisfied
Of these defaults 4 are dropping off in a few weeks, but one will remain on there as this is only around 4 years old.
My score is currently around 250 (a lot of accounts very healthy and very few missed payments in the last 3-4 years), what i want to know is will my credit score shoot right up (to at least average 400-500) or will i need to wait till all this other default comes off to see an improvement?
Thanks for your help
