Barclaycard PPI
I've been here before about this but was told by Barclaycard that I have no claim. It has nagged at me....so I'm back!
I cleared my card in May 2004 and on this I was paying PPI and for some reason Accident Insurance. Also in May I was 65. Now I'm almost sure that 65 was the limit then but I would need to check.
I received a phone call from them when I started the card up again in August...Barclay said they do not keep the recordings) asking if I wanted to continue the insurance due to my age. As I had retired and that wasn't covered....I couldn't see the point so said ...no.
Now I have no Insurance Policy, so I must have destroyed it. I wouldn't have done so if the policy was still ongoing.
Barclaycard claim that as I didn't cancel the policy I am not entitled to a refund...but I did...over the phone.
Should they when I reached 65 in theory have contacted me....they did but there's no proof?
Where do I go from here? What makes me continue with this is that they were rather quick to cancel my insurance when I first began my enquiries, which raised my suspicions that something wasn't quite right.
