Hi,
I am currently 42, and recently changed employer, gross income ~78K. I have the following from my prev. employers pension with Standard life :-
149,093.81 : invested in Standard Life Passive Plus III Pension Fund - Pot 1
3,803.44 : Invested 50% in Standard Life EY Diversified Assets , 50% in Standard Life EY Global Equities
My current employer pension is with legal & general around 5K pot. I have question regarding my Standard life pot, I want to move them into SIPP and invest in Vanguard LS funds. Please can you help me decide.
a) What are the best SIPP platforms to go for
b) I have listed Vanguard LS funds but please suggest me how best to distribute my pot of ~154K
I plan to retire by 62.

Why do you want to do that?
Is it cost effective?a) What are the best SIPP platforms to go forb) I have listed Vanguard LS funds but please suggest me how best to distribute my pot of ~154K0 -
Standard Life Passive Plus III Pension Fund is somewhere between Vanguard Lifestrategy 40 and 60 in volatility (often called risk) and like them mostly uses Vanguard tracker funds inside the fund.
What do you want to achieve as a result of the change.0 -
my key objective is to earn better returns at present i am getting 5-6% returns on standard life fund, i see vanguard and some other funds good returns close to 10% and above, the other factor is standard life does not give me choices of vanguard funds.
but from strategy point of view is investing my whole pension pot in vanguard 80 the right approach, if not what other funds i can look towards that give similar returns, my target is to be able to build good enough pot for my retirement for me and my wife0 -

And are those comparisons like for like? i.e. same risk level?and above, the other factor is standard life does not give me choices of vanguard funds.
In a way they day. Vanguard control SL's tracker funds and some fo their multi-asset funds.0
