First time remortgage

Remortgaging out htb equity as well which makes me more nervous.

Broker submitted dip and full application yesterday got a text from nationwide say solicitor being allocated and another one saying if we are switching deals iyour switch has been agreed (we are not)

This is a real stupid question but when will they instruct valuation ? Would love to think as property only two years old they have done a desktop one and it meets value but that seems too soon and too easy.

So you bought with htb only 2 years ago ?
Why remortgage now to include htb ? When you have another 3 years interest free ?

Many reasons including more choice of remortgage options, any price increase we get more percent of, and the fact we then can fix for 5 years and who knows where interest rates may go over the next few years or where prices may go.

What we owe in five years using a good rate htb remortgage fixed for three years and buying out htb (with similar level repayments just adjusting term) works out within couple hundred pounds of each other.
