60% off at GAP

I've just seen this on HDUK...
You can print the voucher off here: http://drop.io/Gap_60_off_voucher
It seems as if the reason code is the same as the 30% voucher though.. so I'm a bit confused about this one!

Anyone work at GAP that can verify whether this is genuine or a doctored version of the 30% voucher?

    I believe this is fake.
  • Looks very fishy - I received the 30% voucher in an email and as you point out, the code is the same. Also, the valid period on the 30% voucher is Nov 24th up to Dec 2nd, not Jan 2nd '08 so I'd be wary of it myself.
    "Who throws a shoe, honestly?"
    :rotfl:
  • I can 100% confirm that this is fake. I work for the company that distributes the vouchers for Gap. The voucher will _not_ be accepted, even with the same reason code. The maximum discount has always been 30% and I advise people not to attempt to use this.

If you would like any further information, please let me know.
  • I don't think this will be a fake as i got it from the same friend who gets the 30% off ones through her company

I suppose we will just have to try it and see:confused:

I'm on the official Gap discount distribution list and have not received the 60% voucher only the 30% one, which I posted the other day. I wouldn't bother trying to use the 60% one which is about as you will only end up embarrassing yourself when the discount is refused. Just stick to the official 30% one.
  • Well, just to confirm my validity, Gap will be sending a warning email to the original 30% off list once it has been approved. I am in the process of dealing with them for approval and will be sending this once we have it.

To clarify, the only voucher that is correct and applicable is the 30% voucher.

Watch this space for clarification. I will leave it up to other board members to confirm that they have received this warning notice.

    Thanks
  • Okay. Email approved and in queue for sending.

Subject : Unauthorised Corporate Voucher currently in circulation

    Content:

    Hello,

Please be advised that there are counterfeit corporate vouchers/PDFs in circulation which are not genuine Gap discount vouchers.

The genuine offer made by Gap is for a 30% reduction between Saturday 24th November and Sunday 2nd December upon receipt of a genuine and valid corporate Gap voucher.

To avoid disappointment please ensure you and any contacts you may have forwarded our offer too, have the correct 30% off voucher when you visit our stores.

We look forward to seeing you.

    Gap

So just to clarify, this is the official position that will be made public in the next few minutes for those on the distribution list.

    Thanks
  • Anyone got a link to the 30% voucher please?

    Seriously?

I got the 60% corporate discount voucher this afternoon - I work for a fairly big company, and the damn thing has been up and down the country now...

Oh god, there's going to be an awful lot of disappointed people....
