Halifax valuer and underwriter gm86 form

Anyone know about a Halifax gm86 form?
Halifax have come back at the 11th hour to say as the property we intend to buy is only backed by an indemnity architect / professional consultant it now has to go to the valuation and undeewrighter for a final decision.
If they agreed a form gm86 will be sent to the architect before they make a final final decision. I can't find any info on this

It was all ready values by the Halifax that we paid for. Now they want it valued again and it to be looked into.

We was due to complete next week and we are unsure off we should find a different lender who would accept a architect/ professional consultant certificate but we are struggling to find a lender even through a broker.

Any ideas what this all means

Weren't you aware of this via your solicitor?

    How old is the property?
  • It was the solicitor who just sent the email at 5pm last night but diddnt explain. Don't think they have been the best as we have to keep chasing them and all we get told if we are waiting for the Halifax to respond. Yet they took the deposit and their fees.
  • Should of said it's a new build and we would be the first owners
  • Never heard of anything like this on a new build before. This could be pretty serious if a problem arises this close to completion. Surely whatever the issue is should have been picked up prior to exchange of contracts? I’m assuming that has already taken place...
