Skillet Pan, Worth Buying?

Options
I like steak.

I'm pretty good at cooking them at the moment but wondering if I should invest in a proper cast iron skillet pan for steaks?

I use a griddle pan and although they initially stick a bit, they're okay after loosening.

Just wondering if a skillet would REALLY make a difference or would it just be very much the same as now?

I think if you like that 'grilled' look with the chargrill lines etc then its worth it but in terms of the taste it is much the same IMO.
I had both a nice stainless steel heavy pan and a skillet and I just ended uo using the pan for everything.

A skillet has no grooves whereas a griddle pan has the lines

yes they do make a huge difference as they get searing hot which is what you need for a perfect steak and they dont stick.

They do always say though that if burgers/steaks etc stick it means they are not ready to be turned over and should be left until they naturally unstick themselves and can be flipped easily.
