Not even if I’m only looking to pay £200 a month. My current monthly spend is only £1100, my rent is £600 (sharing, everything included). Plus with the change in job I won’t be commuting 2+hours a day (which is approx £250)

I can top up my pay quite easily with freelance work. My plan was to use holiday time to work at my current job
    and weekends.

If by using your holiday time to work at your current employers you might find that they can't allow it as HMRC rules state that employees cannot be paid their annual holiday allowance unless they are "selling back" days over and above the statutory minimum of 28 days per annum.

If you mean during school holidays when you are not in college, you may want to rethink this. An apprentice is normally expected to attend their place of work during the holidays instead of being released to college for the day. You are not normally paid extra for this as it forms part of your contract/salary.
