The Samsung is widescreen too and a much better spec than the Toshiba ( 100hz, virtual dolby etc)..
The Tosh has had glowing reviews but this was largely factoring in the low price for it at the time ( and the fact it had a good picture for a 50hz set). Now prices have plummetted the reviews don't hold up so well ( because better spec models are the same price).
When looking at these sets instore , the Samsung stood out as much better picture quality. Plus its got the stand, so you can put your DVD player underneath. The stand is a ridiculous £100 for the Tosh. Without a stand where do you put your dvd player , sky/freeview box etc ? !!!0
