Some questions if anyone can help me please
.
Question 1:
Can an IPA be set up after you are discharged from bankruptcy?
For example discharge date 1st of September, OR asks you to go into an IPA agreement end of that September?
Or is it, when you are discharged then it’s over?
Question 2:
When it says you are automatically discharged on that date, do you have to apply for any documents to confirm you are discharged? What are my options?
I would like some formal document just incase anyone ever comes knocking on the door in the future. Some sort of proof?
Question 3:
How do I go about getting all my creditors to put my debts to “0” and satisfied on my credit report, after my discharged date?
I understand my credit report it going to be ruined for a long time, but I think (correct me if I am wrong) they are allowed to make me down as default payments during the 12 months of bankruptcy. But when that ends they cannot put me down as defaulted anymore because the debts are “written off”.
Does this mean the accounts should show as open accounts or closed accounts on your credit file?
If the account becomes closed, it should be closed with a 0£ balance is that correct? & the last update should be put down as settled or satisfied with 0£ balance?
If this is the case, how do I go about getting all the creditors to actually do that?
Question 4:
I haven’t heard from my OR since my initial phone call 10/11months ago, no emails or letters no nothing. Is this normal? I thought they would be in contact more?
I don’t want to “poke the fire” as I am close to the end. But has anyone else had a BR where they have had literally 0 contact with the OR since the BR phone call?
Any help would be great 👍🏻
Thanks

I have found the answers I need on debt camel.
Thanks0 -
Hi,
(1) No, once discharged, thats it, your obligations end.
(2) You don`t automatically get a discharge certificate, but you can ask the OR for one.
(3) Most will do this automatically, those that don`t, you need to write and remind them of there legal obligations, any debt included in your bankrupcy, must have a default date no later than the date of your bankrupcy, debts defaulted before bankrupcy, should still show original default date.
After 12 months, all accounts should be shown as settled, or satisfied, with a zero balance.
(4) Yes. perfectly normal, theres nothing more to say is there really, your bankrupt, thats that, its a simple process for many these days.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. When you are discharged 12 months after your B.R date if you log onto the I.S website and search your name, click on your name and status will show as discharged, this stays on for three months so print a copy off in case you need it.0
