Its a long shot but does anyone know of any special offers at Hollywood Bowl (Ashton-under-lyne). I am taking my soon to be 7 year old son to a party there and 10 of his friends and wondered if there is anything that I could get to reduce the cost of his party that is £8.50 per child!!
Thanks
Thanks

I was a manager with them for years and the cost is pretty much value for money , for that price it hasnt went up in line with costs since I left.
Your best bet is to have the games of bowling through hiring a lane for an hour , thats if the centre does that , and off peak of course , ie no saturday/sunday.Dont bother with eating there and move on to mcdonalds for more vfm with a kids meal.
Theres no reductions on parties per more in numbers , actually it costs more to staff etc .Vouchers that get 2-1 cant be used for parties , so sorry youll not get the price down without changing it to "NOT actually being a party".
The costing is relfective of a childs game of bowling , including shoe hire , and kids meal/drink and pack.....and not including the added extras if they still do them like hosting, bunting and ballons.Cost the individual items out in-centre , If its dearer to get a birthday party than "special" promo ie a bowl and bite then ask to speak to a manager.....Whom may just be able to knock the price down but you wont get the same as a party....Altough on WEEKENDS/holidays value deals are off so you wont be able to negotiate for those tiems and days.0 -
When I rang Hollywood bowl to book my sons 8th birthday party, the woman I spoke to advised me not to go for the party, but to just book lanes and let the children choose a meal from the kiddies menu. They had two games and the meal and it worked out about £3 cheaper per child. The only difference between doing it that way and having the 'party' was that the birthday child wouldn't get a gift. They don't have party hosts anymore (at least not at my local HB). It was a bit hectic with 15 7/8 year olds but they had a lot of fun

Thanks for the comments and I am going to look into it more but the problem is my sons birthday is on 3rd July. Thats a Sunday so I imagine its peak time isnt it, I don't know what the peak times actually are.
I am going to find out if there is a Mcdonalds or something on the same retail park as it may be worth taking them there and then going bowling. They will then get a toy with the happy meal and I'm not fussed about a picture as there will be plenty of camera flashing on the day!!0
