Temporary Acommodation - very specific circumstances

Hi,
This is my very first post after 10+ years of lurking (and saving for a deposit!).
I live in Scotland, and have had an offer accepted for a modest flat well below what I could 'afford'. All my financial paperwork is in order. It is also important to note that I do not have any family to help me out with money/advice (which would have solved the issues below!). I have had an appointment with a mortgage broker and we applied for a mortgage with Platform which was 'accepted' subject to a valuation and checking the various docs.
However, I have an issue with my residential status. I moved into Friend 1's flat in August, but was attacked/vandalised etc by a neighbour over a period of months. I stuck it out as I was trying to save for a deposit and I thought the neighbor in question would be evicted. Things got too much in April and I went to stay in Friend 2's house, agreeing this was on a temporary basis and I could leave anytime. I intended to move back to Friend 1's flat ASAP when the neighbour was evicted and kept all my paperwork registered there (including electoral roll) as well as keeping most of my stuff there, and keeping the keys to look after the property. I was not expecting to buy so soon. Friend 2 needs her flat back at the end of this month, and I have no relatives, so I need to go back to Friend 1's as planned.
When I did the mortgage appointment, the lender asked for my landlord's details and I gave them Friend 1's details as that flat is where I regard as being my permanent address. The broker is aware of the backstory. It only occurred to me that they will probably contact Friend 1 to ask about rent payments afterwards. I have been paying the rent to Friend 2 for the last 3 months but will be paying Friend 1 next month.
What is my residential status? How badly have I mucked up? How can I fix this? This is my first chance at having a secure and safe place to live and I can't miss out.
Any advice is appreciated. Also, I can't make the paragraphs on this work - sorry!

Dont worry.
A lot will depend on how everything appears on your bank statements.
Platform are not particularly good at this sort of thing so it may come undone at some point - but it may not, there is not enough to go off. If it does, do not worry, there are better lenders for this type of thing and I am sure you will be fine.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. You were right - everything was fine in the end! Still a few hurdles to jump through but at least the mortgage got approved.0
