Adding stamp duty to mortage

Options
Hi everyone, while looking for a property and talking to my mortgage advisor, I didn't realize that I am not a first time buyer (I already have a property abroad which k inherited and also am buying another property there with the money inherited - can't get out of it now).
I will have to pay almost £10000 stamp duty with my partner (he doesn't have any properties).
My mortgage advisor said that we won't be able to increase the mortage to add this on. Do banks not allow this? Is there any other way of e.g. separately borrowing the money?

Thank you for your help

You want the mortgages board, rather than the reclaiming boards.

Banks allow you to borrow money if you can afford it and are not going to exceed their loan to valuation limit. It really comes down to what your deposit is and if you have scope.
