O/S Daily Tuesday 6 August 2019

This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything Old Style and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what Old Style things we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an Old Style natter. The more the merrier!

As this is the Old Style Board, it would be appreciated if posts could include some Old Style content. Please be aware that many people may have small screens, or SLOW internet connections, so please don’t post large pictures, or clip art – links are preferred. When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning.

Morning everyone

Hugs to those who want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x

Happy birthday to those with a birthday x

Dry start with a fairly clear sky, but no sun trying to make an appearance, rain is possible later, it's quite blustery too.

DH and DS1 now getting ready for work, I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my cuppa and porridge whilst on here. DS2 settled and ok.

Dinner last night was fish, chips/jacket potato, beans/veg - I had baked fish and veg. Tonight will be LO's from Sunday's roast - want to get it all used up so nothing gets thrown away.

Yesterday work was very slow to start but then went manic as was continually busy - it completely highlighted our concerns - that the office is not really big enough, there were customers everywhere - we did our best and everyone got seen, but not easy when there's not enough space. Working at the other office today so will be heading off there, I actually quite like it there although it's an old building and incredibly hot, no air con.

Keep safe and well x

    Good morning everyone.

It's very soggy outside, the noise of the rain woke me up briefly overnight. More rain today, no doubt b

Much to my surprise I found myself really enjoying Fast and Furious! It's complete tosh of course, just fairly funny and a real comic book romp. I hadn't realised that a huge chunk of the film was shot in the city centre of Glasgow. Anyway, it was time well spent.

I'd left a cold lunch and a flask of tea for DM which she devoured. She is making so much effort to get better, there is slight progress though I suspect that she's peaked.

This brings taff's father to mind - I hope that he coped yesterday.

Today I've got to collect a script for DM abs then have the meds dispensed. Walking will also take place!

Thoughts are with those struggling - happy Tuesday to all.

    Morning all

Looks to be a nice day again its been a fairy good summer for us down south but not so good for others I feel.

Off to work today and I will phone the Dr as soon as they open, TA I ordered some of those socks last night so looking forward to see if they help (the reports were great on them)

Pasta and salad for dinner tonight that nice truffle pasta from Aldi, its really tasty and so quick to cook.

Must start looking round tonight for the best currency deals, as we will have to order that soon the Post office seems fairly good normally.

Right better get on have good days all xx

Morning folks and thanks NMLC. Fingers crossed for a more peaceful day.

Lovely sunny start here but not getting complacent as thunderstorms are forecast. We keep missing them but one is bound to get us one day!

It's a busy day of socialising for me! Meeting oldest friend this morning - usual Tuesday morning of a couple of coffees and much talking. Followed by lunch. Today. however, it will have to be a light lunch as youngest DGD has her second birthday celebration this afternoon. After yesterday's treat with her friends - charging manically round the Laser Zone doing battle - today is a more sedate affair. Big family get together for early tea at the Carvery. Table booked for 4 pm. I must restrain myself at lunchtime to do it justice!

Have a good day folks and ((HUGS)) for all in need/want of them. TAFF I hope your dad managed to get to the hospital for his results. GERS well done to your mum for trying to eat a bit more. Take care all xx

Fingers crossed the socks help REDRUBY. Keep us posted! They certainly helped my friend. x

Good morning all, it had a very busy day yes with a piece of work, failed to do much else. Today I have more work to do but only part of the day.

Need to wash the kitchen floor, cut the grass, all sorts really.

Gers, nice to see that your mum is trying to eat a little more.

Thinking of all those who are struggling and of our MIA posters.
I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back
