Cifas Marker and CRA's

Options
I know that a CCJ would appear on a CRA report, but if someone has a CIFAS marker, would it also show up on a CRA report?

You need to ask CIFAS directly if you think you’ve got a CIFAS marker (other than a protective one).

Thank you both for your replies.

I don't think I have a CIFAS marker, but after reading the other thread about what SKY had done to another forum member, I wanted to learn more about it. I think his determination and tenacity to clear the marker against all odds is remarkable.

It would appear that Sky put the Cifas marker without letting him know. Is a company/bank allowed to do that or should they have informed him.

Another aspect that seemed rather odd to me from reading that thread - Cifas say that before a marker is submitted by a company that thorough investigations must be made. Why is it that Cifas don't ask the company to submit supplementary evidence as proof that they have conducted themselves professionally?

Because to register a CIFAS marker you need to be a CIFAS member and by being a CIFAS member you agree to comply with the processes. If the CIFAS marker is unjust there are procedures to follow, first and foremost with the company that filed the marker. Only after exhausting the complaint process directly with the company that added the marker, can you then file a complaint with supporting evidence directly to CIFAS for them to adjudicate on.
