Nationwide timescale & info requested...

Hey all,
We applied through a broker with nationwide for a mortgage last Thursday for our new house.
They completed a valuation on Friday (super quick) and thry received the valuation report back the same day according to text message.
We have an Aip but they requested a letter from my employer as I only started my new job at the beginning of July following maternity leave. We got the letter and submitted this to them on Friday through the broker aswell.
I'm completely stressing out that we are going to be declined.... Do nationwide compete all checks before coming back to you for more information? As in the fact they came back for the letter from my employer and that was all they are happy with everything else like our credit checks etc?
The house we are buying to the mortgage we need works in our favour but I'm still panicking we will be declined. We have debt between the 2 of us totalling just under £20k (car loan and credit cards) but the mortgage advisor doesn't think this is a problem with the wages and the fact the loan value is low compared to value of the house.
I see some people hear back within 2 days of them receiving the valuation back but I just feel physically sick over it all!

Cant help with timelines but in a similar position. Mortgage Application sent 23rd of July, broker on holiday so called after hearing nothing from his cover on the 2nd of August to find out Nationwide valuation went through fine but they had sent us a revised offer a few thousand £'s less than we needed. Realised they had used my old salary, which didn't include my pay increase which came into affect from July (despite giving broker payrise letter from place of work!), so broker sent July payslip showing new earnings Friday lunchtime. Anxiously awaiting final offer or decision, its horrible!0

It really is stressful! Hubby has spoken to the mortgage advisor today and he said that it will probably be the end of the week before we hear anything as they need to send it all through to underwriting now they have all the paperwork and valuation. Just got to hope the letter from my work is sufficient and they are happy with everything else.0

weve just applied for a mortgage with nationwide too on Friday morning, didnt hear anything about valuation so was getting worried as alot of people have had theirs quite quickly after submitting their application.
finally heard from the broker today that our application is now with the underwriter assessing the documents we provided which should be done by Wednesday and that's when we will know if they need extra documents. Also mentioned that our valuation has not yet been instructed but should be in the next day or so.
Just hoping it goes smoothly and that no other documents are required because I'm not too sure what else I could possibly give them!
good luck!0 -
Good luck to you too.
We've literally just received a text from nationwide to say "we are pleased to advise we have issued you a mortgage offer" but obviously doesnt say if it's for the full amount or if there are any conditions.....
Now got the nervous wait for the paperwork to arrive!0
