Multiple credit check from lender before and after offer

Regarding my previous post.. we have checked our credit and they have hard checked us 7 times in two weeks?? Now Halifax our saying our formal offer is going back to be re underwritten as our rating has gone down with them even though nothing has changed and we haven’t taken anything out further credit wise. Could the fact that’s they have credit checked us so much have affected this?
They’ve done it 3 times at application and 4 times yesterday!

Yes that is excessive. Absolutely.

In your place, if I was 100% sure that they’ve done that many hard credit checks, I would make a formal complaint on the Halifax website.

As to whether that might be the reason for the change in “credit rating”, it could well be.
