I would have, had i read it. They arent really IFAs. I send people there to get a Sipp, never to get advice.

I believe the thread has had a useful practical outcome. If, gemma888, or anyone else, had been seduced to take advice from Hargreaves Lansdown, there is now a clearly identified path whereby she can proceed.
But, more importantly there seems to be unanimity: Don't use Hargreaves Lansdown for DB pension advice.
Everybody's happy.
