Halifax architect certificate 15 properties?

We are half way through buying a house on a new development. When we applied to the Halifax we wasn't asked if it had more than 15 properties only that it has an architect certificate not a NHBC.
Now there is a long pause and the solicitor says that there shouldn't be an issue as long as we grant the Halifax first ranking security and they would have a clear and valid title in the house.
The solicitor said they would have a decision in 48 hours and a week later still waiting.
Had we of known at the time we would of hone to a different lender. Does anyone know if this is likely to cause an issue of it being rejected as we are supposed to complete in 2 weeks. The solicitor hasn't been quick or helpful.
Thanks

This is one of those things that 99 times out of 100 would never have been picked up. If you used a broker like Kingstreet who specialises in new builds, he may have picked up on it but I doubt anyone else would have.
You are buying a house, problems arise. Just sit back, let your solicitor deal with it and it will all get sorted. No point stressing about something outside of your control and ultimately you (the buyer) wants the same outcome as the seller and the seller will possibly have the same issue with another buyer so it would make no sense for them to put it back on the market. Sit back and let it all sort itself out.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. We went through a broker and the Halifax wasn't the cheepeat but they said they could so it quick. They were aware at the start and said there would be no issues but now seem to be dragging there feet.
Had we of known we would of gone with a cheaper lender who would of accepted it.
One of those things. Don't think the solicitor has been the best she's had the paperwork for 7 weeks and only just told us. Thanks for the reply0
