Can anyone please help with this divorce/mortgage mess?

Hi everyone,
I was hoping someone could help and offer advice.
My partner split up with his ex wife 5 years ago. Their divorce is still pending. His ex wife has told him that she can't take his name off the mortgage because she says her credit score is too low. Natwest have told her that because her credit score isn't good enough she can't take on the mortgage on her own. I do believe this but what I have trouble with is the fact that she has been paying the mortgage herself for 5 years with her new partner and she is in a very well paid job. My partner and I would like to get a house together but we are unable to because he is still technically attached to another mortgage.
Is there any way to get his name off the mortgage?
They have two young children together and they have both agreed that they would like to keep the family home instead of selling it for the sake of the children.
Any help you can give would be much appreciated

Unless she approaches another lender to take over the mortgage in her own name.
If other lenders say no then he is stuck0 -

How amicable do you want to keep it? Turning up on monday morning with a camping bed and some dirty washing telling them you are moving in will probably make them find a new lender.

Then more than likely the status quo will be maintained until such time as the children leave full time education. The matter needs to be resolved as part of the divorce , i.e. the financial consent order.0
