Through "settings"I can choose Libra office draw and paint. Tried both and the same happened. program closes within 5 seconds.
When I do find a picture and click on it it gives ""file system error (2147219196)"" and stops loading.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0 -
Let's try a random sample pic; https://www.dpreview.com/sample-galleries/4004778046/panasonic-leica-dg-10-25mm-f1-7-sample-gallery/5077441208
Right click on the pic and choose "Save as" and save it to your Desktop. Then try to open it with 'Photos'0 -

Thanks for the assist, I'll look further into it tomorrow.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

You can try this in the first instance; https://www.windowscentral.com/how-use-dism-command-line-utility-repair-windows-10-image
If that fails, try a Repair install;
https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/software-download/windows10
Download the Tool and then follow the instructions under Using the tool to create installation media (USB flash drive, [STRIKE]DVD,[/STRIKE] or ISO file) to install Windows 10 on a different PC
https://neosmart.net/wiki/windows-10-repair-installation/
But I would use the opportunity to fit an SSD to your laptop and to run a clean install of Windows 10 to it.0 -
Thanks for everything. I have been able to get MyPhoto's working, up to a point. I see its a common problem with win 10 updates so she'll have to put up with it as I'm happy to fiddle with my lenovo but prefer some who knows what they are doing to sort hers.:)I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

Just fix it. Don't be a wimp.
Come back with the full model number as requested and we'll see what can be done.
As to yours, working "up to a point" is not really good enough.
Many novices are getting on and solving their problems here. Swapping to solid state drives, cleaning installing operating systems. Now really happy, instead of just making do.0
